Rohit Shetty (born 14 March 1974) is an Indian moving-picture show managing director, producer and telly host who works in Hindi cinema.[2] [iii] He is known for creating the Golmaal and Cop Universe flick franchises. Shetty's other notable films include Bol Bachchan (2012), Chennai Express (2013) and Dilwale (2015).[4]
Early life [edit]
Rohit Shetty was built-in to M.B Shetty and Ratna, a Bollywood inferior artiste,[5] who has acted in Hindi and Kannada films.[6] He has iv siblings.[seven]

1991–2002: Early work [edit]
Shetty began his career at the age of 17 as an assistant manager in Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn's kickoff film Phool Aur Kaante.[8] He then worked with Devgn in Suhaag (where he was a torso double for some other superstar Akshay Kumar who was its 2nd chief hero) and Haqeeqat, and with Kumar in Zulmi. He and so joined the Devgn starrers Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Hindustan Ki Kasam and Raju Chacha.[9]
2003–2012: Directorial career [edit]
Shetty debuted as an independent manager in 2003 with the Devgn starrer Zameen, an average grosser, earlier he rose to fame in 2006 when he directed the beginning part of Devgn's cult comedy series Golmaal that became his kickoff hit.[10] His side by side two directorials—the comic thriller Sunday and the successful sequel of Golmaal named Golmaal Returns (both featuring Devgn)–were released theatrically in 2008 followed by All the Best: Fun Begins in 2009.[11]
